Registration
Q. Why did you not send me an activation email?
A. We always send you an email containing your activation code. It is sent automatically when you complete your registration. If you do not receive your welcome email from us, be sure to check your junk email folders. If you continue to have problems, use our Contact Page to get in touch.
Q. When I tried to register I was told my email address was already on file - but I have not registered with this website before. Why?
A. FSPORTS have run a number of different competitions over recent years, all of which share the same user database. It is likely that you have registered with us previously via a different website. We can send you your username and instructions on how to reset your password - simply provide your email in the 'Forgotten your details?' section on the login page.
Q. How do I update the club badge next to my team name?
A. The badge displayed is the Football Club that you selected when submitting your team to the competition. You can also set or update your flag in the Player Profile area. If your club doesn't appear in the list you can submit a request through our Contact page and we can add additional clubs on request.
Q. Will I be asked to pay anything, such as transfer fees or subscriptions, at any point during this competition?
A. Our competitions are genuinely free. The only time you may part with any cash is if you choose to do so by making a donation. At no point will we persuade or force you to make a donation - it is 100% voluntary. You are not disadvantaged in any way if you do not make a donation, and all players still qualify for any prizes we offer to our competition winners.
Login / Account Details
Q. I cannot find my account and my email address is not being recognised. Where has my account gone?
A. We take peoples privacy very seriously - as such we regularily clear down inactive user accounts. We see no value in storing details for players that no longer wish to participate in our competitions.
If your account has been deleted you can simply re-register to play.
Q. I recently made a donation but my account is still showing as 'Regular'. How long does it take for the upgrade to happen?
A. The process of upgrading accounts is not automatic - please allow 24 hours for any upgrades to show.
Your Team
Q. How can I change my Team Name?
A. Click on the 'Edit Name' link on the 'Manage my Team(s)' page.
Q. I have accidentally made a transfer. Can you undo it for me?
A. No. The database is complex, and the effort required to unravel any mistakes is too great. The rules are very clear and are the same for everyone.
Q. Why aren't all players available for selection when I'm picking my team?
A. Once you select a player to be in your squad, further players from that club will not be selectable as they are not valid selections. This is because you are only permitted to select 1 player from any club. To get a full list of available players, select the 'Player Scores' option from the 'Results & Scores' menu.
Your League(s)
Q. How do I start my own league?
A. Once you have created your own entry, select the 'Create New League' option which appears in the menu beneath your name when logged in.
Q. How many people can join my league?
A. There is no limit to the number of people that can join your league.
Q. How do I find out what my Private League Number & / or Password is?
A. Once you've created your own league, use the 'League Admin' page to set a league password (if you want) and to invite others to participate in your league. Your league number is shown alongside your league name on this page.
Q. How does the scoring work in the 'Personal League Table'?
A. Each week your Personal League entry will be credited with the same number of points that was achieved by your leagues best performing team for that week (at the time of update). The total number of points awarded to your league over the course of the season will determine it's position in the 'Personal League Table'. Only entries in your league at the time the scores are updated will qualify for that week.
Q. How does the scoring work in the 'Club League table'?
A. Every week each Club will be credited with the same number of points that was achieved by their best performing fan for that week (based on the Club selected by players at the time of update). The total number of points awarded to the club league over the course of the season will determine each clubs position in the 'Club League Table'.
